Singer MAYA has picked up the microphone again, breaking a long hiatus. After stepping away from the entertainment industry for a time to focus on farming, MAYA recently announced her return to musical activities via her SNS.
Recently, MAYA posted a video of herself singing alongside the caption, "Listening to the sound of the waves, I call out to myself with another song today." In the video, wearing a straw hat against the backdrop of a harbor, MAYA passionately sang her new song, 'Fifty Spring.' Despite her simple attire, her signature explosive vocals remained as powerful as ever.
On the 8th, a video was also uploaded showing her singing in front of a fish market. Her performance caught eyes as she continued to sing amidst the natural, everyday scenery of market merchants passing by.
New song featuring her own lyrics and composition, and plans for TikTok communication
MAYA participated directly in the lyrics and composition of this new song, 'Fifty Spring.' In the video, she provided detailed information about the track, stating, "Wandering MAYA. Lyrics and Composition: MAYA, Arrangement: Ha Kwang-hoon." As the title suggests, the song captures the emotions of passing through the midlife stage of life.
MAYA also teased future communication through new media platforms such as TikTok. By saying, "I will greet you on TikTok soon," she signaled her intention to engage in full-scale activities using digital platforms.
In the past, MAYA had personally revealed her move to farming, stating, "I have completely quit broadcasting." Since then, she has shown her transformation from 'celebrity to farmer' by sharing her daily life of farming. However, her passion for music never faded. Since last May, she has been steadily continuing her musical activities by releasing a new song every month.
