Actor Kim Ki-hae has completed his active duty service in the Navy and was discharged on June 27, 2026. Having gained recognition through the film 'The Witch: Part 2. The Other One' and the TVING original 'Duty After School', he has completed his military service in good health and is preparing to resume acting.
Active Duty Navy Service After Enlistment in October 2024
Kim Ki-hae enlisted in the Navy on October 28, 2024, and served as an active-duty sailor. Upon his discharge, he stated regarding his time spent as a soldier in the Republic of Korea, "I learned and felt so many things."
He also left a message for the fans who have waited for a long time. Kim Ki-hae expressed, "I sincerely thank everyone who has waited for me for such a long time. I will greet you again with great works in the future. Please look forward to it."
Joined the Four-Member Tou Group in The Witch After Beating 1,408-to-1 Odds
Kim Ki-hae's acting career has drawn the attention of the broadcasting industry since his debut. After debuting in the 2020 web drama 'Boy's Group Female Friend', he was selected as the youngest member of the 'Tou 4-member crew' after beating 1408 to 1 competition odds during the casting process for the film 'The Witch: Part 2. The Other One'. At the time, he was evaluated as showing a presence unlike a rookie with his chilling gaze and action acting.
Afterward, he played the lead role of Kim Chi-yeol in the TVING original series 'Duty After School', in a survival story about high school students. He has also been expanding his filmography through the Disney+ original series 'Light Shop' and the film 'Soju War'.
