Actor Kim Gyu-ri has received the first Chinese chef's knife made by chef Lee Yeon-bok after it cleared customs. On July 4, Kim posted photos on her social media showing herself with Lee and the gift box for the knife, writing that she had been given the first piece to pass through customs and that it was an honor.

In the photos, Kim Gyu-ri is dressed casually as she holds a carefully packaged gift box. Standing beside her, chef Lee Yeon-bok also smiles brightly while holding a box marked with information about the knife and its brand.
Kim's post also delivered news that a new product Lee Yeon-bok had been preparing for a long time had finally arrived. She wrote that the signed version would be sold in limited quantities and asked followers to look forward to his soon-to-be-released new Chinese knife.

She became widely known for her intense performance as So Min-a in the film Memento Mori, and later played Shin Yun-bok in Portrait of a Beauty, carefully portraying a character who disguises herself as a man.
She also worked steadily in leading roles on television dramas. Kim played Park Na-ri in KBS 2TV's School 1 and Lee Hyun-jung in MBC's I Love Hyun-jung, helping carry both dramas. In the mid-2000s, she continued as a lead in MBC's Han River Ballad, KBS 2TV's Loveholic and MBC's Young-Jae's Golden Days.
In entertainment programming, Kim competed in season 1 of MBC's Dancing with the Stars and finished as runner-up, then returned as an MC for seasons 2 and 3. She also reached audiences as the host of TBS Traffic Broadcasting's Kim Gyu-ri's Pongdang Pongdang and through her appearance on the Solomon Islands edition of the variety show Law of the Jungle.
Outside acting, Kim is known for road bicycle riding as a hobby and for working as a Korean ink painter, an artistic path she began through the film Portrait of a Beauty. She has held solo exhibitions centered on tigers and portraits, and she has also been seen attending baseball games as a fan of the Doosan Bears.
More recently, Kim Gyu-ri appeared in a leading role as Cheol-su's mother in the film 1980. She has continued her acting work in the film Shinmyeong, playing the role of Yoon Ji-hee.
