Actress Hwang Jung-eum burst into tears as emotions surged while she was singing.

On the 8th, a video titled 'The day I became a woman with a story while singing' was released on Hwang Jung-eum's personal YouTube channel. In the video, Hwang Jung-eum visited a practice room wearing glasses and a shirt. Having previously active as a member of the group Sugar, she stated that while she has no lingering attachment to being a singer, she started vocal lessons because she wants to lift the mood with music in her daily life.

For this session, Hwang Jung-eum chose Lim Hyun Jung's 'Love is Like Spring Rain, Parting is Like Winter Rain.' Midway through the song, upon reaching the line, 'Leaving me with only wounds that cannot be erased and now departing,' Hwang Jung-eum finally burst into tears. Taken by the sudden weeping, she reacted with embarrassment, asking, "What should I do? Tears are coming out." She continued through her sobs, "Why am I crying? I cried because it was so sad. This doesn't happen often, does it?" The vocal trainer explained, "The way you immerse yourself in the song is similar to acting. Actors with high levels of immersion often experience this."

During the lesson, Hwang Jung-eum candidly shared her recent emotional state. When the vocal trainer mentioned that her atmosphere seemed calmer than before, Hwang Jung-eum replied, "It has been a bit difficult lately. But now, things have been settled well."

She confessed that she had used up all her energy while navigating various crises, saying, "There were so many difficult things, and living while trying to resolve them exhausted all my energy." However, she shared that she is currently in a stage of recovering her daily life, such as restarting YouTube filming with the help of those around her.

Hwang Jung-eum married in 2016 and has two sons, and finalized her divorce proceedings in 2025. Recently, she has been continuing her activities by communicating with fans through her YouTube channel. While continuing the lesson, Hwang Jung-eum offered a smile, wondering, "Is it because I can't remember the past, or because I like the present?"
