Problematic behavior of Pompitz siblings that 7 experts failed to fix

In the July 15 broadcast of Channel A's 'Time Between Dog and Wolf 2', the show featured the story of Pompitz siblings 'Sun-dol and Sun-sim,' whose behavioral issues remained uncorrected despite seeking help from seven different experts.

Among the six trainers met previously, most diagnosed them as "not biting dogs," while only one determined that they actually were "biting dogs," causing confusion for the guardians. Sun-dol exhibited defensive aggression by becoming excessively excited by external stimuli like trash during walks, while Sun-sim showed biting behavior alongside separation anxiety.

During the training process, the mother showed firm values, expressing resistance toward using muzzles, specific kennel types, or forceful discipline. Observing this, trainer Kang Hyung-wook asked, “Are you perhaps wandering around looking for a trainer who will cater to your whims?” forcing the guardian to face her own parenting attitude.

The real issue lay in the couple's conflicting discipline styles. The difference between the father, who prioritized control, and the mother, who chose to soothe and hug, was the reason experts' opinions were divided. Kang Hyung-wook advised, “The most important thing is consistency,” adding, “You must also know how to control the love you show your companion dog.”

Guardians find consistency, leading to changes in Sun-dol and Sun-sim

As training progressed, changes in the guardians' attitudes emerged. The mother decided to adopt the father's method of control, and Sun-dol showed a more stable demeanor by focusing on the guardian during walks. Sun-sim began to break away from her previous object of dependency and started forming a new attachment with the father.

Kang Hyung-wook continued the training by allowing Sun-dol to experience a wider world while focusing on helping Sun-sim build a healthy attachment with her guardian. Meanwhile, Channel A's 'Time Between Dog and Wolf 2' is hosted by Kim Sung-joo and Kang Hyung-wook and airs every Wednesday at 10 PM.
