In SBS's 'Running Man', Ji Suk-jin and Ji Ye-eun shook up the race by transforming into 'Water Ghosts'. The core of the mission was that the two had to eliminate all members as Water Ghosts, but in the end, the humans secured victory through a joint operation by Yang Se-chan and Miyeon.

The episode aired on the 5th was a special titled 'You'll Grab a Lump Sum of Money if You Live Long Enough'. Minnie and Miyeon from the girl group (G)I-DLE joined the broadcast as guests.

Water Ghost Rules Revealed After Song Ji-hyo's Disappearance

After participating in the Running Merchant Association and finishing meals according to the timetable, the members entered a survival experience mission. Immediately after the mission began, member Song Ji-hyo disappeared, throwing the scene into chaos.

The production team instructed them to find hints hidden throughout the village to discover how to end the race. While combining hints, Yoo Jae Suk and Kim Jong Kook discovered a decisive rule: "Among you, there are Water Ghosts in human form."

Yoo Jae Suk moved to find the house mentioned in the hint, and Yang Se-chan, who was following him, discovered a mysterious blue envelope. Yang Se-chan traded the envelope to Yoo Jae Suk for 30,000 won. The two speculated on the identities while looking at a photo in the envelope that appeared to mix several faces.

Counterattack of the 'Chungju Ji Family' Ji Suk-jin and Ji Ye-eun

The name of this race was 'Salmokji'. The identity of the Water Ghosts threatening the members was Ji Suk-jin and Ji Ye-eun, the 'Chungju Ji Family'. Regarding her role as a spy, Ji Ye-eun expressed her excitement, saying, "I was so nervous I couldn't sleep. I couldn't even focus on the service yesterday because I could only think about being a spy."

The two, having received the Water Ghost mission, could only win if they eliminated all members. Ji Suk-jin and Ji Ye-eun eliminated members in different ways, such as stacking a 60-story stone tower, cracking a boiled egg on a forehead, and playing Gonggi with peach pits.

Yoo Jae Suk was certain Ji Suk-jin was a Water Ghost and tore off his name tag, but Ji Suk-jin was not eliminated. This was because there was a separate rule for Water Ghosts where they must meet certain conditions even after their name tags are torn.

Miyeon guessed the elimination condition, asking, "Since they are Water Ghosts, shouldn't they die if they fall into water?" The members dropped Ji Suk-jin into pools prepared throughout the village, but Ji Suk-jin survived this time as well. The condition of needing to fall into water applied only to Ji Ye-eun.

On the other hand, Ji Ye-eun, who was caught by Yoo Jae Suk and pushed into the water by the members, was immediately eliminated as soon as she fell in. The method Yang Se-chan found worked perfectly to eliminate Ji Ye-eun.

Human Team Wins Through Yang Se-chan and Miyeon's Joint Operation

Ji Suk-jin showed great strength by eliminating Yoo Jae Suk by completing 50 years of Gonggi using 3 peach pits. However, Ji Suk-jin's solo run was blocked by the joint operation of Yang Se-chan, Miyeon, and Haha.

An eliminated Ji Suk-jin angrily asked Haha, "Hey, whose side are you on?" and Haha replied that he was on Yang Se-chan's side. At that moment, an announcement rang out stating that the race had not ended.

Yang Se-chan became certain that Haha was in league with the Water Ghosts. Ultimately, Yang Se-chan and Miyeon eliminated even Haha through a joint operation, allowing the humans, who had removed all the Water Ghosts, to seize the final victory.
