The group Epik High has jumped into an unexpected parenting mission. In the "I Got a Niece" episode released on July 9 through Epik High's official YouTube channel 'EPIKASE', the members performed a mission to care for Julie, the daughter of YouTuber Gabie Kook and Korean Englishman (Josh), for one day.
Upon meeting her for the first time, Julie quickly opened her heart to the members. As Julie snuggled into the arms of Tablo and Tukutz, Tablo was moved, saying, "It's been a long time since I've felt this feeling." Tukutz, who already has experience with parenting, also smiled, noting, "It's been a while since I felt someone snuggle into me like this." Laughter filled the scene as Julie picked Mithra Jin as her favorite uncle among the members.
The nap time mission and members' parenting talk
As the full-scale care began, the members built a bond with Julie through activities like reading books and playing. The most difficult moment was the 'nap time' mission. The members remained tense, worried that Julie, who fell asleep in her stroller during a walk, might wake up. In particular, Tukutz, a father of two, showed his expertise by skillfully soothing and putting Julie back to sleep when she woke up in the stroller.
During a brief moment of leisure, sincere conversations about parenting followed. Mithra Jin mentioned the importance of childcare, saying, "You have to watch them a lot during that period. A baby's face changes so quickly." Tablo added, "When a child grows up, the days pass so fast, but then you miss those times."
From a hearty meal to a warm farewell
After finishing their care duties, Epik High spent time with Julie at a gukbap (Korean soup with rice) restaurant. Even after returning home, the members continued their schedule by playing with Julie, finally sharing a warm farewell with hugs and kisses.
