Ryu Ji-soo and Marchio Bossa to Release ‘Golden Dream’ Worldwide on July 3
Vocalist Ryu Ji-soo teams with Italian bossa nova project Marchio Bossa for ‘Golden Dream,’ a cross-border collaboration built over five years between Seoul and Bari. The track was recorded with live instruments and will be released worldwide on July 3, 2026.
Vocalist Ryu Ji-soo will simultaneously release the new song 'Golden Dream,' a collaboration with the Italian Bossa Nova project group 'Marchio Bossa,' worldwide on July 3, 2026.

This project is the fruit of five years of remote musical exchange, spanning the 9,000km distance connecting Seoul and Bari in southern Italy. Ryu Ji-soo and Marchio Bossa met in person for the first time in Bari, Puglia, Italy, to work on this track.
5 Years of Online Connection, First Face-to-Face Meeting in Bari
The connection between the two teams began during the process of working on an overseas drama OST. After accidentally seeing a video of Ryu Ji-soo singing for a friend battling an illness, Marchio Bossa producer Piero Lombardo was captivated by her voice and proposed the collaboration.
'Golden Dream' was written, composed, and produced by Piero Lombardo, with member Pippo Lombardo participating on keyboards. Previously, they first showcased their musical union by releasing 'Somewhere' on April 8, a collaboration track that added K-vocals to Italian Bossa Nova.
'K-BOSSA' Sound Recorded with Real Instruments
The new song 'Golden Dream' was recorded using only live instrument performances, excluding artificial intelligence (AI) or virtual instruments. At Sonolab Studio, the base of Marchio Bossa, live sessions of drums, acoustic guitar, and trumpet were captured under the direction of sound engineer Tullio Chierle.
A string orchestra session led by Leo Gadalletta was also added. The performances of Paolo Manio on guitar, Fabio delle Porrie on drums, and Alberto di Leone on trumpet harmonized to complete a sound that combines Italian colors with Korean sensibility.
Solo Concert and Bari Filming Videos to be Released Sequentially
Having debuted in 2003 as the modern rock duo 'Mr. Soul,' Ryu Ji-soo has been active in various genres including soul, pop, and musicals. Celebrating her 20th anniversary since debut, she will hold a solo concert under the theme 'A 2-Hour Journey.'
For this concert, KBS 'Immortal Songs' music director PD Choi Young-ho will serve as the stage director, and the performance will cover a wide range from Korean pop to bossa nova and tango. The music video was directed by New York-born creative director Daniel Ha, and three videos filmed at the jazz club 'Duke' in Bari, Italy, will be released sequentially following the music release.
