Kahi Releases Solo Dance Single Psalm 24 King of Glory as a Faith Confession
Kahi, former leader of After School, has released the solo dance single Psalm 24 King of Glory as part of the Psalm 150 Project. The track combines her performance strengths with a Christian message of faith.
Kahi, who formerly served as the leader of After School, delivers a message of faith through music and performance. As part of the 'Psalm 150 Project,' Kahi recently released her new single, 'Psalm 24 King of Glory.'
Singer-songwriter Ahn Yeon-jae was in charge of lyrics and co-composition for this track, while K-pop composer Nam Hyeong-gwan and ZHMI participated in co-composition to complete the track.
'Psalm 24' Unfolded Through Performance
The new song 'Psalm 24 King of Glory' is a solo dance track that expresses the existence of God, who governs all things, through dynamic dance and song. Based on the contents of Psalm 24, the theme of the song, Kahi combined the message of Psalm 24 with her strength in performance.
The released music video features Kahi's dynamic choreography. Kahi expressed her hope that this song will serve as a medium that can naturally reach the younger generation or those without faith.
A New Solo Dance Proposal Following the Failed Participation in 'Psalm 13'
Kahi shared the behind-the-scenes story of her participation in this project. Although she was originally offered the chance to participate in 'Psalm 13,' she was unable to join at that time due to scheduling issues. However, when she was later proposed a solo dance track, she readily made the decision to participate.
“I was first offered the chance to participate in Psalm 13, but I inevitably had to miss out because the schedule didn't match, and then I was offered to participate again this time as a solo dance track,” Kahi said. She added, “While preparing this song, I was grateful that God was using me, and I approached it with a sense of mission for the many people working hard for this project.”
From After School Leader to Dance Academy CEO
Since her debut in 2009 as the leader of After School, Kahi has expanded her field of activity as a solo singer and musical actress. She has also appeared on stages in productions such as 'Bonnie & Clyde' and 'Cinderella.'
Currently, she continues her expertise as the CEO operating the dance academy 'Gise Crew.' Furthermore, she practices her spiritual values in her life by sponsoring children through Compassion Korea, an international child development agency. The new single 'Psalm 24 King of Glory' brings together Kahi's experience built on stage and her confession as a Christian.
