Singer John Park will return to fans this July with new music.
Appearing as a guest on the content 'Mannal-ten-de' on Sung Si-kyung's YouTube channel released on the 8th, John Park revealed his plans to release a new summer song. During the video, John Park shared a comfortable conversation while tasting Pyongyang Naengmyeon made by Sung Si-kyung.
A "Retro and Funky Summer Song" He Worked on Himself
The real highlight is the color of this new song. John Park described the atmosphere of the new single in detail. He explained, “It’s somewhat breezy but has a beat, and it's a bit funky and soulful. It's a breezy summer song that is slightly retro and evokes nostalgia.”
For this new track, John Park personally took charge of the entire process, including songwriting, composing, and arranging. Through this method of completing the song himself, he captured his own unique musical color.
From 'Giuje' to a Duet of 'Two People' with Sung Si-kyung
Musical connection with Sung Si-kyung also continued. Sung Si-kyung highly praised John Park's vocal skills, showing his trust in his junior.
A special upcoming collaboration project between the two was also mentioned. Referencing his YouTube cover content 'Giuje,' John Park suggested, “I want to perform the first-ever cover of Si-kyung hyung's 'Giuje' as a male singer,” and Sung Si-kyung readily accepted. Furthermore, they promised a duet stage singing Sung Si-kyung's representative song 'Two People,' adding to the anticipation for their collaboration.
Last December, John Park held his solo concert 'Like a Dream,' his first in about eight years, which recorded a complete sell-out.
