Chuei Li Yu, a member of the group FLARE U, has been selected as the new fixed MC for the SBS Life music program 'The Show.' Her agency, FNC Entertainment, announced that Chuei Li Yu will meet viewers as the face of 'The Show' starting from the broadcast on the 14th.

This selection is drawing even more attention as it comes less than two months after her official debut with the 1st mini album 'YOUTH ERROR' on May 13. During her first broadcast, Chuei Li Yu is set to make her grand entrance by performing a special reinterpretation of TWS's 'OVERDRIVE.' The 395th episode will be co-hosted by Xikers' Lee Min-jae.

Her hosting abilities have already been proven. She appeared as a special MC for 'The Show' in June, demonstrating stable hosting and witty reactions, and has further solidified her position by serving as a special MC on other music programs such as MBC's 'Show! Music Core.'

Chuei Li Yu's upward momentum has continued since her survival program days. After building a solid fandom by finishing in 10th place on Mnet's 'Boys 2 Planet,' which ended last September, she subsequently formed the duo FLARE U with Kang Woo Jin.

The performance of the debut album 'YOUTH ERROR' was not typical of a rookie. On its release day, it simultaneously claimed 1st place on the Hanteo Chart Daily Album and Music Charts, as well as the Circle Chart Daily Retail Album Chart. In particular, she demonstrated a powerful presence by surpassing 180,000 copies in first-week sales.

September Japanese Market Expansion and 'The Show' Lineup

FLARE U is preparing to expand beyond domestic activities into the Japanese market. This coming September, they will release a Japanese edition of the album 'YOUTH ERROR' and hold a local fan meeting to expand their global fandom.

Meanwhile, the 395th episode of 'The Show,' which airs live at 6 PM on the 14th, will feature comeback stages from RESCENE, AHOF, and USPEER, along with debut stages from VAYONN and KEYVEATZ. Japanese singer-songwriter Ayumu Imazu will also appear as the first participant of the '2026 The Show Global Stage.' This broadcast will be streamed live worldwide via SBS Life, BIGKOK, YouTube, and TikTok Live Korea.
