Kim Tae Hyung's first solo album fills an 11-year hiatus with a 'comma'

Kim Tae Hyung, a member of first-generation idol group Click-B, has returned as a solo singer after 11 years. His new mini-album, 'Still, Summer (まだ夏だよ),' released on the 10th, is his first solo work in approximately 11 years since 2014. This album was prepared to greet fans ahead of Click-B's full group activities scheduled for this coming August.

The title track, 'Still, Summer (まだ夏だよ),' is a modern reinterpretation of the lyrical sentiment characteristic of 1990s Japanese rock. Warm acoustic guitar and delicate string sounds are layered with Kim Tae Hyung's signature deep, mid-range vocals. The lyrics include phrases such as "It's not yet, it's not the end" and "What was empty was merely a comma," expressing the long hiatus as a moment to catch one's breath for a new beginning.

Longtime acquaintances lent their strength to the album's production. Producer DEEGIE, a Whimoon Middle School classmate with whom Kim has maintained a friendship for over 30 years, and creative director Lee Seung-hyun collaborated for the first time on this project. The sub-title track, 'Today I Take Myself (この道や),' takes inspiration from the works of Japanese haiku master Matsuo Basho to calmly convey the loneliness of modern people.

Kim Tae Hyung shared his thoughts, saying, "Although 11 years have passed, I put the feeling into the album that our summer is not over yet. I am sincerely grateful to the fans who waited for me."

Click-B concert in August and BTS V's daily life in London

The momentum of his solo activities will lead into Click-B's full group stage. Click-B will hold the concert 'A Midsummer Night's Dream Vol.2 - RE:CLICK' on August 8 and 9 at the Blue Square Woori WON Banking Hall in Seoul.

Meanwhile, BTS member V shared glimpses of his daily life in London, UK, via SNS on the 11th. V posted about his time in the area, including visiting a bakery in London, visiting Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and attending an exhibition. He also drew attention by posting photos of a gathering with members who met for the London performance, enjoying a meal of samgyeopsal paired with soju.

BTS drew approximately 130,000 spectators through the 'BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN LONDON' held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, UK, on the 6th and 7th (local time). BTS will continue their world tour at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, on the 11th and 12th (local time), marking the first time a Korean artist has performed there.
