AHOF Wins Fan Vote to Sing 'The Reason I Die' OST After Beating 30 Teams

The group AHOF has become the final winning team of the fan voting project 'OST MATCH POINT'. After starting with 30 teams in the webtoon OST selection competition, they remained in the running until the end, earning the opportunity to record and officially release the official OST for Kakao Webtoon's 'The Reason I Die' Part.14.

This victory is a case where fans' choices led directly to actual music release production. For AHOF, who were formed through 'Universe League', it is also a result that confirms fans' anticipation continues even after their debut.

1st Place in Preliminaries with 11,114 Votes, Finals Restarted from 0 Votes

The project began with the first preliminary round on May 22 and closed on June 5, after which the top 5 teams underwent final voting from June 8 until 3 PM on the 22nd. In the preliminaries, AHOF took 1st place with 11,114 votes, followed by Zhang Hao, Tempest, Horizon, and Plave.

The finals were conducted in a manner where all votes restarted from 0, rather than carrying over the preliminary votes. Since leading in the preliminaries did not guarantee a win, it was the fans' participation over the final two weeks that secured AHOF's victory.

Participating in Completed Webtoon 'The Reason I Die' Part.14

'The Reason I Die' is a completed romance webtoon served on KakaoPage, recording over 430,000 readers and a star rating of 9.9. Various vocalists, including Yeo Eun, Lydia, Woo Ha-na, Yoo Soo-hyun, Jang Hyeri, An Ye-seul, Morning Coffee, and Ha Jin-woo, have participated in the OST series.

According to existing OST information released on Bugs, the series has maintained the colors of ballads and webtoon OSTs and was planned by Yogurt Studio. Part.14, which AHOF will undertake, is scheduled to be officially released as a song that connects the emotions of the work with a new voice.

Fan Voting Becomes an Actual Released Song

In this project, unlike the typical OST production method where the production company determines the singer, the singer for Part.14 was decided by fan voting. As both webtoon readers and idol fandoms have come to wait for the same song, AHOF has gained an opportunity to showcase their voice and song interpretation in a different way from stage performances.

For the fans, it remains an experience of gifting a new song to the team they were supporting. AHOF has gone beyond merely making their team name known and has expanded the scope of the rookie group's activities by adding an actual released song to their repertoire.
