Heartsping sails back Aug. 5 with a star-packed OST

Continuing the success of the predecessor which recorded 1.24 million cumulative viewers

Global IP content company SAMG Entertainment announced that its new animation, 'Heartsping: Legend of the Whale Jewel,' will be released on August 5.

The previous installment, 'Heartsping,' was a commercial success, surpassing 1.24 million cumulative viewers last year. It also confirmed strong support from family audiences, achieving a 97% CGV Golden Egg Index.

Directed by Kim Su-hun, realizing a fantasy set against the ocean

General Director Kim Su-hun, who led the success of the previous film, returns to direct this sequel. The work captures a new adventure unfolding against the backdrop of the vast ocean.

The production team focused on the visual realization of the sea through sophisticated simulation and color design. Art Director Seo Bo-guk stated, "We focused on maintaining the unique warm sensibility of the work while implementing a diverse range of blue colors, from clear sky blues to the darkness of the deep sea."

NCT WISH's Jaehee, Baek Ji Young, and others participate in the OST

The OST lineup, which will add emotional depth to the film, has also been finalized. Participants include Jaehee from NCT WISH, as well as Yoo Ha and Ye-on from Hearts2Hearts. Additionally, singer Baek Ji Young, actress Jung Ji-so, and 'Sing Again' runner-up Gwyn Dorado have been added to the vocal lineup.

SAMG Entertainment is building a content ecosystem that spans from animation production to performances, toys, and licensing businesses based on its own IPs, including 'Catch! Teenieping,' 'Mini Force,' and 'Metal Cardbot.'
