Actors Song Joong-ki and Park Ji-hyun will meet again in the romantic comedy genre after four years. The KBS 2TV weekend mini-series 'Love Cloud' has been scheduled with a target broadcast date in 2027.

The two previously worked together in the 2022 JTBC drama 'Reborn Rich,' which caused a syndrome by recording a 26.9% viewership rating. Having formed a subtle love triangle as Jin Do-jun and Mo Hyeon-min at the time, they are set to showcase a different kind of chemistry in this new work as lovers.
Song Joong-ki Returns to KBS for the First Time in 11 Years Since 'Descendants of the Sun'
Through this project, Song Joong-ki returns to the KBS home screen for the first time in 11 years. This marks his long-awaited return since the KBS 2TV drama 'Descendants of the Sun,' which earned him a Grand Prize after recording a peak viewership rating of 38.8%.
Song Joong-ki plays 'Kang Woo-ju,' an air traffic controller who was once known as a prickly former flight instructor. Having quit flying to settle in Jeju Island, he is an ace at the control tower with excellent judgment, though he is a person who usually enjoys observing clouds.
"The setting where Ahn Ha-ni's emotions are connected to the clouds was very interesting," Song Joong-ki said. "I am happy to meet actor Park Ji-hyun again in one project, and I think we can show great synergy this time as well." He also expressed his meaningful sentiment regarding working with director Song Min-yeop, who directed 'Youth of May,' a drama he personally watched.
Cursed Pilot Park Ji-hyun and the Heart-Fluttering Romance Unfolding in Jeju Island
Park Ji-hyun takes on the role of 'Ahn Ha-ni,' a pilot cursed with weather that changes according to her mood. Ahn Ha-ni is a workaholic who does not shy away from avoided tasks if it means getting a promotion. After an unexpected accident, she faces a life-changing curse where her emotions manifest as the weather in the sky, and in this process, she reunites with her former lover, Kang Woo-ju, causing buried emotions to surge.
"While reading the script, I couldn't let go of the tension as I laughed and cried while becoming deeply immersed," Park Ji-hyun said. "I will strive to grow along with the character Ahn Ha-ni and deliver a pleasant sense of excitement to viewers."
Director Song Min-yeop, who demonstrated delicate emotional lines through 'High Cookie' and 'Youth of May,' will direct the series, with the rookie writing team 'Team Mad Rabbit' handling the script. Set against the backdrop of Jeju Island, 'Love Cloud' is expected to meet viewers in 2027.
