Seo Do-young debuted as Cha Seung-hyeon in MBC's new daily drama Family Relations Certificate, portraying a husband caught between his wife and mother. The series airs weekdays at 7:05 p.m.
Actor Seo Do-young made his first appearance as Cha Seung-hyeon, a character who mediates between his wife and mother, in the premiere of the new MBC daily drama 'Family Relations Certificate'.

In the episode of 'Family Relations Certificate' aired on the 6th, Seo Do-young appeared as Cha Seung-hyeon, the husband of Dang Ngoc Mai (played by Jung So-young), the daughter of a semi-chaebol family in Vietnam and the son of Noh Young-ju (played by Lim Ji-eun). Cha Seung-hyeon is a character set as a son and son-in-law who connects a Korean family with a Vietnamese chaebol family.
Mediating between wife and mother in the premiere
In this episode, tension filled the house as Mai returned home early in the morning after spending the night at a club. When mother-in-law Noh Young-ju pointed out her daughter-in-law's lifestyle, Cha Seung-hyeon mediated the situation between his wife and mother.
Rather than scolding his wife directly, Cha Seung-hyeon stepped back from the center of the conflict by using the excuse of taking care of his child, saying, "Daddy will give you milk," when his young son appeared. When Noh Young-ju expressed dissatisfaction, asking, "Where is the daughter-in-law who said she would live in a Korean house before asking for permission to marry?", he defended his wife by replying, "Mai likes parties. She's cute."
Furthermore, when Noh Young-ju responded to the daughter-in-law's demand to move houses by saying, "If you want to move, go by yourselves," Cha Seung-hyeon showed his side as a son looking after his mother by retorting, "If Mom doesn't go, I can't go either."
