Pearl in Red: Park Jin Hee crumbles as 30-year betrayal explodes
In KBS 2TV's Pearl in Red, Park Jin Hee's Kim Dan-hee learns Park Tae-ho killed her sister, setting up a fierce revenge turn.
In the July 8, 2026, broadcast of the KBS 2TV daily drama 'Pearl in Red' (written by Kim Seo-jung, directed by Kim Seong-geun), Kim Dan-hee (played by Park Jin Hee) collapsed upon realizing that Park Tae-ho (played by Choi Jae-sung), who had been by her side, was the true culprit who murdered her older sister, Kim Myeong-hee.

Kim Dan-hee reproached herself, saying, "I was the woman of my enemy for 30 years without even knowing he was the one who killed my sister." She vented her fury, stating, "I should have killed him, but I saved that man with my own hands. Being deceived and used by the enemy who killed my sister, these past 30 years have been so miserable and pathetic." As Kim Dan-hee fell into despair, Park Min-jun (played by Kim Kyung-bo) offered comfort, saying, "I was also part of mother's life."
Declaration of revenge against Park Tae-ho and shifting relationships
As the truth was revealed, the relationships between the characters shifted violently. Park Min-jun declared to Park Tae-ho, "You are no longer my father. I will definitely bring you down." Kim Dan-hee also took direct action, seeking out Park Tae-ho and slapping him across the face.
Park Tae-ho sensed that Kim Dan-hee had realized the truth and showed signs of anxiety. While checking restaurant CCTV, he recognized the gravity of the situation, saying, "Kim Dan-hee heard everything. I must find her and take action before she does something." Meanwhile, Oh Jung-ran (played by Kim Hee-jung), who had also been deceived by Park Tae-ho, condemned his evil deeds, asking, "Not only did you kill a person and frame me, but you also just stood by and watched while Kim Dan-hee harasses me saying she will take revenge?"
Conflict between Park Hyun-jun and Choi Yu-na triggered by fake photos
The conflict between Park Hyun-jun (played by Kang Da-bin) and Choi Yu-na (played by Cheon Hee-joo) also deepened. Choi Yu-na pressured Park Hyun-jun by sending him a photo of Chloe (played by Nam Sang-ji) together with Park Min-jun, but Park Hyun-jun dismissed it, saying, "Did you think I would be fooled by such a fake photo?" In response, Choi Yu-na cornered Park Hyun-jun, warning, "Park Min-jun and Chloe could betray you at any time."
