Park Eun-bin takes on the role of Lee Un-jeong, a special recruit civil servant who is full of secrets but lacks social skills. She is a principled individual who moves alone to uncover the truth behind a series of serial disappearances occurring in Haeseong City.
Cha Eun Woo plays Lee Ga-in of Haeseong City. While intelligent and polite, he is a character whose personality becomes increasingly unpredictable as he grows, due to being born with a heart different from others. In 1999, while dreaming of a train journey, he becomes embroiled in an unexpected incident and gains superpowers.
The supporting cast is equally impressive. Choi Dae-hoon, Im Seong-jae, Kim Hae-suk, and Son Hyun-joo join the production to add weight to the drama. Director Yoo In-sik, who directed 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo,' will take the helm, with writer Heo Da-jung penning the script. Kang Eun-kyung is in charge of planning, and Romantic Crew, Kakao Entertainment, and Fantagio are participating in the co-production.
Production Path Changed from 'The B Team' to Netflix Original
There were changes in the production process of the work. When it was first known under the working title 'The B Team' in 2018, it was planned as an adaptation project based on an original comic story by Stan Lee, and in 2021, an SBS broadcast was even discussed.
Subsequently, the setting and direction were completely revised, and it was reorganized into a new original story. On November 1, 2024, along with the casting of the lead actors, the scheduling as a Netflix original series was officially confirmed, and on January 21, 2026, it was listed in Netflix's 2026 Korean content lineup.
The story leads to a final battle to stop Dr. Ha Won-do's plan, which threatens Haeseong City, on December 31, 1999. The protagonists mobilize their immature superpowers to engage in an all-out war to save the city, and in the process, they face secrets tied to their abilities and births.
