Actor Hwang Jung-min directly revealed the reason behind his recent appearance changes that have become a hot topic online. Hwang Jung-min Reveals Secret Behind Recent Glowing Skin Tone on YouTube 'Pinggyego'

Guests for this broadcast included lead actors Hwang Jung-min, Zo In-sung, and Jung Ho-yeon from the film 'Hope', which is set to be released on the 15th, alongside host Yoo Jae-suk.

A Story of Curly Hair Seen at Cannes

First, Hwang Jung-min's hairstyle caught everyone's attention. Recalling seeing Hwang Jung-min at the Cannes Film Festival, Jung Ho-yeon said, "When I saw him at Cannes this time, his curls were quite severe." She added, "He came to the dinner having done his own hair, and it felt like Jung Cheong from the movie 'New World' had come back to life."

Hwang Jung-min shared his struggles with his natural curls, saying, "Since I have curly hair, when I wash it, it just becomes frizzy. I hate curly hair so much."

Jung Ho-yeon chimed in, showing her tied-up hair, "Isn't it good? This is my curly hair too," to which Yoo Jae-suk reacted with surprise, asking, "Really? I thought you had done it [styled it]?"

When Zo In-sung asked Yoo Jae-suk if he had straight hair, Yoo Jae-suk replied that he has wavy hair.

Skin Tone That Appeared to be a Sobriety Effect

Hwang Jung-min previously drew attention by appearing in a video on the YouTube channel 'ELLE Korea' with a black knit sweater and natural styling. At that time, instead of the reddish skin that looked as if he had been drinking in the past, he showcased a bright, clean skin tone and a sharper jawline, leading viewers to react with comments such as, "He got so handsome after quitting alcohol," "He looks 10 years younger," and "Turns out he was a flower boy."

In fact, Hwang Jung-min had previously revealed in an interview that as a gift to himself at age 50, he decided to quit either alcohol or smoking. He explained, "After I quit smoking, I ended up drinking more. Eventually, I quit alcohol too." He also noted that his past habit of drinking heavily caused memory decline and minor mistakes, so he is practicing sobriety with the thought of giving himself a rest.

"I Did It Almost Like Special Effects Makeup"

The real highlight was the makeup confession made on 'Pinggyego' that day. While Zo In-sung was joking by mentioning Yoo Jae-suk's makeup, the arrow turned toward Hwang Jung-min. When Yoo Jae-suk asked if he was wearing makeup, Hwang Jung-min answered without hesitation, "I did a ton."

Hwang Jung-min said, "I did it almost like special effects makeup. If I wash it off, isn't my face red? That's why I did it like special effects makeup." He explained that he applies thick makeup to hide his usually reddish complexion. He then added laughter by praising Zo In-sung, saying, "In-sung is handsome, though. People like us just smear it on heavily."

This appearance served as a promotional opportunity ahead of the release of the film 'Hope'. Ahead of the work, Hwang Jung-min, Zo In-sung, and Jung Ho-yeon naturally shared stories about their hairstyles, makeup, and sobriety on 'Pinggyego'.
