Dreamcatcher's Ji-yu goes low-key after a warm Guangzhou fan meet
Dreamcatcher leader Ji-yu shares a striped-shirt and black-glasses update after greeting fans at the group's Guangzhou fan meeting.
Ji-yu's daily life carrying the lingering emotions of the Guangzhou fan meeting
Ji-yu, the leader of the group Dreamcatcher, has shared an update with fans after wrapping up her fan meeting schedule in Guangzhou, China.

In photos released on the 11th, Ji-yu is seen wearing a striped shirt paired with black glasses. Gazing into the camera with one hand placed behind her head, she exudes a calm and neat atmosphere along with the relaxed vibe of having finished her fan meeting.
Through her post, Ji-yu left an affectionate greeting for the fans who visited the venue, writing, "Good memories, Guangzhou fan meeting. Go home safely and eat something delicious." It is a moment where the sincerity of the leader, who has returned to her daily life after spending precious time with local fans, can be felt.
From Mings to Dreamcatcher leader, the path walked silently
Ji-yu's musical journey began in 2014 with the girl group Mings. She later re-debuted as Dreamcatcher in 2017, establishing herself as the leader who holds the team together. Dreamcatcher operates as a 7-member group including Ji-yu, Sua, Siyomin, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami, and Gahyeon.
Within the team, Ji-yu serves as the lead dancer and sub-vocalist, taking responsibility for both performance and vocals. She has handled the endings for major tracks such as 'Piri', 'Scream', 'R.o.S.E BLUE', 'Boca', 'Odd Eye', and 'Justice', concluding songs with her unique vocal color. Additionally, she played a core role in leading the emotions of songs like '어느 별', 'July 7th', 'Jazz Bar', and '새벽'.
Her sense of responsibility as a leader is as remarkable as her stage presence. When Dreamcatcher achieved their first music show win since debut in 2022, the tears Ji-yu shed on stage deeply resonated with fans as a moment where long-standing hard work finally bore fruit.
Versatility spanning acting and variety shows
Beyond her musical activities, Ji-yu has steadily demonstrated her presence in the fields of acting and variety shows. In 2016, she showcased her acting skills playing the role of convenience store part-timer Kim Ji-yu in the web drama 'Hororong Story', and in 2017, she took on the role of a profiler in a segment of KBS 2TV's 'Entertainment Weekly'.
She has also consistently shown her variety skills. Following her appearance in the web variety show 'Jonye Boss', she proved her hosting abilities by serving as a special MC for the Lunar New Year special of SBS 'Inkigayo' in 2018. Ji-yu, who takes charge of the team's intro and ending centers while also being responsible for stage comments and hosting, has served as the foundation for Dreamcatcher's growth into a global group.
