Daniel Lindemann and Wife Expect First Child After Earlier False Baby Report
Daniel Lindemann, the German broadcaster and pianist known from JTBC's Abnormal Summit, is expecting his first child with his Korean wife after marrying in December 2023. The news follows his earlier correction of false reports that the couple already had a child.
German broadcaster and pianist Daniel Lindemann is preparing to welcome his first child. The news marks a new chapter in his family life after he married his Korean wife in December 2023.

For Lindemann, the pregnancy carries particular weight because he previously had to draw a clear line against false online claims that he already had a child. This time, the news is being received as a more cautious but welcome change, with attention focused only on what has been confirmed.
Lindemann first announced his marriage plans in October 2023, saying that he had met someone he wanted to spend his life with and had decided to marry. He held the wedding in December of the same year, then quietly shared the news with family members and acquaintances while moving between Korea and Germany.
His Korean wife is now known to be pregnant. Details that the family has not made public, including the expected delivery date and the baby's sex, have not yet been confirmed.
Lindemann became known to the Korean public in 2014 through JTBC's talk show Abnormal Summit. He continued to build a long-running television career through programs including Where Is My Friend's Home, Welcome, First Time in Korea?, and Talkpawon 25 Hours.
He first came to Korea in 2008 as an exchange student and went on to spend many years in the country, maintaining both broadcasting and music activities. In a 2025 interview, he reflected on that time by saying, "I have gained so much in Korea."
His career has never been limited to television. In 2017, he released Esperance, an album of his own compositions, and he also appeared on stage as a classical music commentator for the Anyone Can Classic series at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts.
Speaking about music, Lindemann once said, "On stage, I can show the most honest version of myself." The public had long known him as a broadcaster, but his years as a pianist added another dimension to that image. Now, as he waits to become a father for the first time, he is facing another personal change.
At the same time, caution remains important. When false reports about a child spread in 2024, Lindemann corrected the misinformation himself, saying, "We as a couple do not have a child yet." This latest news is therefore best followed within the bounds of what has been verified.
