A fusion of musical and ice show, bringing Sung Jin-woo's narrative to life on the ice
Figure skater Cha Jun-hwan is set to take the stage as the protagonist Sung Jin-woo in the ice show 'Solo Leveling.' Cha Jun-hwan appeared on the special guest segment of SBS Power FM's 'Two O'Clock Escape Cultwo Show' on July 9, expressing his excitement for the upcoming performance.

This production features a composition that sets it apart from traditional ice shows. "It is a work that combines a musical with an ice show on the ice," Cha Jun-hwan explained. "Unlike existing ice shows, it incorporates musical elements, so I think it will be very entertaining to watch."
A challenge driven by long-time fandom since high school
The character Cha Jun-hwan portrays, Sung Jin-woo, is the only character in the work depicted as a growth-oriented protagonist. Cha Jun-hwan revealed that his long-standing fandom played a role in his decision to take on this role. "I have enjoyed this work since I was in high school, so this feels very special," he said, expressing his affection for the series.
In particular, he cited 'growth' as the most charming aspect of the character Sung Jin-woo. "Since Sung Jin-woo is the only character who undergoes growth, I think many people found it enjoyable because that narrative is so compelling," Cha Jun-hwan added.
Preparing a stage to capture both action and emotional depth
Cha Jun-hwan also spoke specifically about the direction of his performance for this show. The stage will focus on delivering both the character's dynamic movements and deep emotions, going beyond simple skating.
"It is a work that features both action and striking emotional lines," Cha Jun-hwan said. "I am working hard on my preparations, and I want to do a great job," he added, sharing his sincere commitment to the performance.
