Park Bo Gum takes on perms as Go Kyung-pyo joins Bo-geom Magical
tvN's Bo-geom Magical returns in November for Season 2, with Park Bo Gum expanding his barber skills and Go Kyung-pyo joining the cast.
After completing its first season last April, tvN's 'Bo-geom Magical' is returning for Season 2 approximately seven months later. Scheduled to air this November, the upcoming season is expected to build on the popularity of the previous season, which was set in a rural village in Muju.

Season 1's Success, Holding the #1 Viewership Rating for 7 Consecutive Weeks
Season 1 achieved unrivaled results both domestically and internationally. It ranked first across all channels in the same time slot for the 2049 viewership rating for seven consecutive weeks, and also held the top spot in the same time slot for cable and general programming channels for six consecutive weeks in household viewership ratings. The peak viewership rating reached 3.8%.
The global response was equally intense. The content was released in approximately 200 countries and regions, and it confirmed the support of a global fandom by recording a 9.5 rating on the world-renowned content review site IMDb.
Go Kyung-pyo Joins the Cast and Park Bo Gum's 'Skill Expansion' Teased
There will be changes to the cast lineup in Season 2. Instead of Kwak Dong-yeon, who was active in the previous season, actor Go Kyung-pyo will join the team. As Go Kyung-pyo and Park Bo Gum have maintained a friendship for over 10 years after working together on the dramas 'Naeil's Cantabile' and 'Reply 1988,' they are expected to show natural chemistry. Existing member Lee Sang-yi will take on the role of the second child this season, building new chemistry with Go Kyung-pyo.
The real highlight is Park Bo Gum's transformation. In Season 1, Park Bo Gum utilized his barber license to showcase cutting and dyeing, but he could not perform perms as he lacked a hairdresser license. Since the final episode of Season 1 depicted him retaking the hairdresser license exam, viewers can expect to see his upgraded skills in Season 2.
Sitcom-like Stories to Unfold in a New Village
PD Son Su-jeong revealed the direction of Season 2 in a recent interview. "In Season 2, we expect to show Park Bo Gum facing even greater trials as he expands his territory toward new challenges," Son said.
She added, "While Bo-geom's sense of touch is sharp, we intend to focus on practice to show an upgraded version of him. We plan to search for a new village in need of a barbershop and will return with human-centric stories reminiscent of a sitcom."
