Kim Jung-nan tears up at Park Mi-sun's consolation, "Don't go to the hospital alone"

Actress Kim Jung-nan revealed her special friendship with colleague Park Mi-sun, who stood by her side during the most difficult moments of her life.

Appearing on MBC's 'Radio Star' broadcast on September 30, 2026, Kim Jung-nan shared personal pains she recently experienced and episodes with Park Mi-sun that helped her overcome them.

Kim Jung-nan revealed that she went through a very difficult psychological period due to recent health issues and the loss of family members. Kim Jung-nan explained the situation at the time, saying, "Last summer my father passed away, and I went through a series of losses as three cats passed away in succession," adding, "Because I wasn't doing well mentally, I eventually collapsed at home and was hospitalized." Mentioning her condition when she collapsed at home, she conveyed the urgency of the situation, saying, "The (wound) was visible here. I collapsed and had to get this stitched up here."

In particular, Kim Jung-nan said she was deeply moved by the actions Park Mi-sun showed when she was going through a health crisis, such as undergoing thyroid surgery. Kim Jung-nan recalled that she felt like she would cry at the sight of Park Mi-sun, who told her, "Don't go to the hospital alone," and went with her. She added, "As a single person who is used to going everywhere alone, I naturally thought I would go by myself, but thanks to her going with me, it was a huge source of strength." Kim Jung-nan revealed that Park Mi-sun also accompanied her on the way to hear test results.

Kim Jung-nan stated that Park Mi-sun also stayed by her side on the day of the surgery, saying, "I wondered if anyone would come, but she stayed by my side until the surgery was finished. It made me think that perhaps I haven't lived my life wrongly." Kim Jung-nan mentioned that through these experiences, she felt her attitude toward life and her mindset toward people changing.

The connection between the two stems from a long friendship called the 'Audi gathering.' Kim Jung-nan shared anecdotes of traveling to various places with Park Mi-sun, such as Jeju Island, Nha Trang, Everland, and the East Sea. They actually traveled by renting an Audi. Kim Jung-nan explained that she became close to Park Mi-sun thanks to another best friend in this group. When she mentioned that Park Mi-sun felt cold when they encountered each other at the broadcasting station in the past, Park Mi-sun joked toward Kim Jung-nan, "I thought you were a show-off," revealing their reversed intimacy.

Kim Jung-nan cited 'not talking about others' as a characteristic of this gathering. She said, "Our group never badmouths anyone once. We try to only say good things, beautiful things," and "We decided not to say bad things in order to age gracefully and elegantly." Park Mi-sun also boasted of their good chemistry by mentioning Kim Jung-nan's elegant way of speaking.

During the broadcast, questions about Kim Jung-nan's views on marriage followed. Mentioning an anecdote where fans wished for her marriage by gifting dish sets every birthday in the past, Kim Jung-nan revealed that she is currently satisfied with her single life. However, she showed an attitude of leaving the possibility open, saying, "Since you never know what lies an inch ahead in life, I haven't completely closed the door to marriage."

Regarding her ideal type, she emphasized 'kindness' over physical conditions. Kim Jung-nan said, "As I get older, I like kind people," and "I like someone who can love my cats together with me." She also shared her daily life as a 'butler' who has been raising cats for nearly 20 years and recent episodes with her companion cats. In particular, she showed her side as a pet owner by sharing an anecdote with her clever companion cat 'Sinbi,' who, perhaps because her previous owner trained her, holds out her hand when a hand is extended.
