Renewing Contract with Big Hit Music for 19th Consecutive Year

Singer Lee Hyun has renewed his contract with Big Hit Music. On the 8th, Big Hit Music officially announced that it has completed the contract renewal with Lee Hyun. This marks 19 years of partnership since they first signed an exclusive contract in 2007.

Regarding this decision, Lee Hyun stated, "They are my musical home and my most reliable partner," adding, "As they have always been, this was based on deep mutual trust and respect." Big Hit Music plans to actively support Lee Hyun's musical activities. Currently, Big Hit Music is home to BTS, Tomorrow X Together (TXT), CORTIS, and Lee Hyun.

A Musical Trajectory from 8eight to MIDNATT

Lee Hyun's musical career began in 2007 with the group 8eight. Produced by Chairman Bang Si-hyuk at the time, 8eight released tracks such as "Without a Heart," "I'll Block Those Lips," "Farewell is Coming," and "Singing After Losing Love."

Later, in 2010, he formed the duo Homme with 2AM's Lee Changmin and promoted with "Eating Well," and in 2011, he released the solo track "The Best of Mine." In 2023, he expanded his musical range under his new persona, MIDNATT. In particular, the digital single "Masquerade" was recorded as the first K-pop case produced in six languages, including Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Last year, he released the title track "You at This Point" through his 3rd mini-album, "A(E)ND."

"I Will Be More Active and Frequent"

Along with the news of his contract renewal, Lee Hyun shared his future plans for his fans. "I want to show my fans, who are waiting for my music, a more frequent and active side of myself," Lee Hyun said. "I will become a singer who creates many opportunities to communicate through music and sings incessantly."
