On the 26th (local time), the members of Ive will visit Citi Field in New York City following an official invitation to the game between the New York Mets and the Los Angeles (LA) Dodgers. During this game, Jang Won-young is scheduled to take the mound as the ceremonial first pitcher representing the members.

New York Mets vs. LA Dodgers Matchup and Jang Won-young's First Pitch

This game is a highly anticipated big match even within Major League Baseball. The LA Dodgers feature representative Asian players such as Kim Hye-seong, Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Roki Sasaki. However, Shohei Ohtani's participation remains uncertain due to the lingering effects of a knee injury.

Jang Won-young previously served as a ceremonial kickoff participant for the match between Team K League and Newcastle United FC during the '2025 Coupang Play Series.' Following her appearance on the football pitch, she will now step up as a pitcher on an MLB mound. To commemorate this visit, Ive will also film special collaboration content alongside Byung-hyun Kim and Dustin Nippert.

Global Activities Continuing from North American Tour

Ive's current visit is an extension of their world tour. Through their performance at 'Lollapalooza Chicago' and the world tour 'SHOW WHAT I AM,' Ive has been meeting fans worldwide, including in North America. Last March, they made an impression on the local public by appearing on the American FOX11 morning program 'Good Day LA' to introduce their second studio album 'REVIVE+.'

Starship Entertainment stated, "We are excited to visit the Major Leagues and create special memories with the audience and DIVE. We thank the New York Mets for the invitation."

Jang Won-young, who will serve as the ceremonial pitcher, expressed her ambition, saying, "It is an honor to participate as a ceremonial pitcher in such a major game that baseball fans around the world are watching. I will do my best to deliver good energy to the audience and the players."

After completing this schedule, Ive will continue their world tour, traveling across North America from the 21st through August.
