KwakTube scraps Las Vegas stay after three burgers hit 240,000 won
KwakTube changes his Las Vegas itinerary after taxes, tips, buffet bills and hotel costs push his food expenses to 550,000 won in two days.
240,000 Won for Three Burgers: The Pressure of Tips and Taxes
YouTube star KwakTube (Kwak Joon-bin) could not hide his bewilderment at the high cost of living in Las Vegas, USA. According to a video uploaded to the 'KwakTube' YouTube channel on the 13th, he faced unexpected expenses immediately after arriving in Las Vegas via Mexico.

The core issue was that the menu prices were not the final cost. While visiting a Gordon Ramsay burger restaurant, KwakTube discovered that the base price for a single burger reached approximately 40,000 won. Once taxes and a minimum tip of 18% to 20% were added, the total price for three hamburgers soared to about 240,000 won.
550,000 Won Spent on Food Alone, Including Accommodation Miscalculations
The burden of food expenses continued during brunch. A group paying 90,000 won per person at a famous hotel buffet paid a total of 230,000 won for three people. This meant they had spent 550,000 won on food alone within just two days of arrival.
There were also errors in the accommodation booking process. While they had expected the lodging for three people to be around 300,000 won, the actual reservation cost reached $300 (over 500,000 won) per night. KwakTube expressed a sense of emptiness due to the sudden financial burden.
“Staying Here Will Exhaust Me”: Plans Revised to a Road Trip
Under the pressure of skyrocketing prices, KwakTube ultimately revised his entire travel plan. Instead of staying in Las Vegas, he shifted direction toward a road trip using a rental car that costs around $50 per day. He expressed his intention to move to another city, stating, “I feel like staying here will leave me mentally exhausted.”
Meanwhile, there was a small stroke of luck amidst the crisis. KwakTube won an autographed card of soccer player Kevin De Bruyne from a lucky box draw that cost him 400,000 won.
